Back in the Black: A
straight-ahead bluegrass original, written by Arizona songwriter
Nancy Riccio. Dave on the lead vocal, Don on Tenor, and Terry
singing Baritone. We'll let you know when the Downtown
Mountain Boys are back in the black.
99 Years:
The DownTown Mountain Boys features a repertoire that blends
traditional and more contemporary songs, as well as bluegrass and
country. We turn vocal virtuoso Terry Enyeart loose on the
lead vocal.
Black-Eyed Suzie: A favorite
old-time traditional song. Terry sings the lead vocal, Don
sings tenor, and Dave elevates to high baritone. The entire band now
craves biscuits soaked in gravy.
I Gotta Get Back to You:
In addition to three-part harmonies, we like to include some duet
singing in our repertoire. This is Don's rendition of a Gibson Brothers song, with Dave singing the
tenor harmony.
Smooth Sailin': Pure Dave
Keenan-grass. Dave on lead, Terry on tenor, Don on baritone.
Bug Tussle:
The band performs a variety of originals, including this
wonderful instrumental written by Dave Keenan. This one takes
you on a journey into Dave's musical mind. Prepare to be
jet-lagged.
'Till
the End of the World Rolls Round:
A standard that we just love to
perform, despite its high words-per-chorus ratio! Dave on the lead vocal, Terry on
tenor, Don on baritone.
Far Side Banks of Jordan:
We feature Terry Enyeart on this moving love song.
Dave on the tenor vocal, Don on baritone.
Shoulder to Shoulder: We
put an old-time spin on this funny yet bitter song. Dave on lead
vocals, Don on tenor, Terry on baritone.
Holy Beacon:
A gospel tune written by Terry Enyeart. Terry on
lead vocal, Dave on tenor, Don on Baritone.
Sometimes Dig for Taters:
A quirky song about unmet expectations, written by Dave Keenan.
Don on the tenor harmony.
Carol Ann:
The band showcases many exciting previously unrecorded songs,
including this fan favorite written by 2000 IBMA showcase songwriter
Nancy Riccio. Don on lead vocal, Dave on tenor, and Terry on
baritone.
Train of Love: Dave
Keenan's tribute to the late Johnny Cash. Terry on tenor
vocal, Don on baritone. We pride ourselves on featuring a lot
of train songs!
Big Darlin'
A wonderful instrumental written and arranged by Paul Elliott,
and the title track of our new recording.
